Toyota Industrial Equipment Manufacturing’s (TIEM’s) Columbus, Ind.-based facility opened in 1990 and includes a National Training and Customer Center (NTCC) and distribution center. The facility has expanded eleven times and the campus is now the size of 15 football fields with more than 870,000 square feet of manufacturing and support space.
The new NTCC was designed expressly to serve Toyota customers and dealers and includes a 360-degree showroom and a facility for live product demonstrations. The NTCC embodies Toyota’s dedication to providing best-in-class customer service. Combined with Toyota’s network of 68 authorized Toyota Industrial Equipment (TIE) dealers, with more than 180 dealership locations throughout the United States, Toyota provides the most comprehensive customer service and support in the industry. In fact, in Modern Material Handling’s 2008 Lift Truck Customer Satisfaction Study, Toyota was the highest ranking manufacturer in overall satisfaction and product quality.
The company’s new and Certified Used lift trucks, fleet services, parts, service and financing capabilities make Toyota dealerships a one-stop shop.

Since the sale of its first lift truck in the United States to the production of its 350,000th lift truck produced at the TIEM facility in November of 2009, Toyota has enjoyed a solid presence in the United States. The majority of Toyota lift trucks sold in America are manufactured in the U.S.
