Executive Vice President & Treasurer Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A., Inc.
Ken Aonuma is executive coordinator of Toyota Material Handling North America, which is comprised of Toyota Industrial Equipment Mfg., Inc. (TIEM) the Columbus, Ind.-based manufacturing plant; Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A., Inc. (TMHU), North America’s number one supplier of lift trucks; and The Raymond Corporation, the North American market leader in electric warehouse trucks. He concurrently serves as executive vice president and treasurer of TMHU overseeing all financial aspects of the company and integrating TMHU’s sales, marketing and overall business strategy with Toyota’s global operations.
Aonuma has been with Toyota for more than 20 years. Most recently, he served as assistant general manager at Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO), where he oversaw emerging markets in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and other locations. Prior to that, he held positions in the sales and marketing department of the material handling division for the Oceania market and in the production control department of the compressor division. He also worked for seven years in the production control department of Michigan Automotive Compressor, Inc., a TICO subsidiary.
Aonuma earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan.
He resides in Irvine, Calif., and he and his wife, Chieko; have three children, Mizuki, Shuhei and Kentaro.
