Osha Standards

Each year, more than 100 fatalities and 94,000 lift truck accidents are reported in the United States. This has long been recognized as a serious problem, and the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) has completed its revision of the standard to assist in improving legal requirements for operator training.

OSHA Standard 1910.178 provides the occupational safety and health standards for materials handling and storage as they pertain to powered industrial trucks. For a current copy of the full regulations document, click here.
