  • Toyota's hydraulic power steering system provides smooth and effortless turning in the harshest of applications. The 2TE steering system further increases operator comfort by preventing shocks and vibration from being transmitted from the ground to the steering wheel.
  • Heavy duty vinyl seat resists tears and optimizes operator comfort.
  • Low entry step height with floor surface grip pads ease frequent entry and exit during the work shift for reduced body fatigue.
  • The battery compartment is strategically located low inside the chassis to provide excellent rearward visibility to the tow hitch.

  • 80V AC drive system includes multiple benefits: Quicker acceleration, excellent gradeability, high top speeds and extended peak operating time maintained throughout the entire shift.
  • Power keep function allows the 2TE to maintain it's battery charge longer than conventional DC powered tow tractors, for a more productive work shift.
  • Auto shut-off automatically shuts the vehicle off after 30 minutes of idle time, can be deactivated for GSE use.
  • Power select function gains access to four performance parameters is used to customize performance settings to better suit specific applications or driver skill levels.
  • Three forms of regeneration are used to recover energy to battery for extended use:
    • Accelerator released (coasting)
    • Shift directional lever from forward to reverse, or vice versa (plug braking)
    • Depressing the brake pedal
  • Tight turning radius makes the 2TE ideal in maneuvering around airplanes, bag rooms, and other ground support equipment.

  • Inset headlights and high mounted tail lamps have been integrated into the rugged chassis design for better protection and longer life. Front and rear turn signal lights are also available as an option.
  • Controller Area Network (CAN-bus) communication technology provides quicker, more reliable control from the operator to the drive motor with fewer components.
  • Heavy-duty steel box cross-section front axle has been designed for increased reliability and durability in the harshest of applications. Designed within this box type construction, the power steering cylinder and steering mechanism are well protected from obstacles.
