- Your business has a peak season. If your business increases for a few months a year, it may be more cost effective to rent a forklift for a few months rather than to buy a forklift and incur capital expenses that might not be supported by your “seasonal revenue patterns”.
- You can’t afford unexpected maintenance costs. When you rent, the forklift rental company covers maintenance costs. Typically, forklift rental units are well maintained and should be readily available to work hard with minimal downtime. But, you may be on the hook for damages outside of normal wear and tear.
- You want to try it before you buy it. If you are considering adding to your fleet, renting will help you find out which model will best support your needs.
