About Lea Ann

Lea Ann King is Vice President of Legal & General Counsel for Toyota Material Handling (TMH). She leads a team responsible for all legal operations, including litigation, intellectual property, acquisitions, and corporate governance for TMH and its equity dealers. She is a seasoned in-house counsel with more than a decade of in-house legal experience.

 

Prior to joining Toyota, King served as the Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc., a leading global medical technology company with more than 10,000 employees worldwide. In that role, King was the chief litigation and labor and employment counsel for all U.S. operations. She began her law career with the firm of Bose McKinney & Evans, LLP in Indianapolis.

 

King serves on the board of the Industrial Truck Association (ITA), where she served as chair of its lawyer’s committee from 2016 – 2019. In addition, she is a board member of Margaret Mary Health serving on its governance and ethics committees and Indiana Delegate for Drexel University’s Vision 2020. She has twice been named to the “Inside Counsel” list of “Next Generation of Women General Counsel.”

 

King founded TMH’s women’s initiative – Toyota’s Women’s Impact Network – focused on opportunities for all associates to ensure TMH has an inclusive culture and attracts diverse talent.

 

King holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Centre College and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Louisville’s Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, where she served as an editor of the Brandeis Law Journal.

 

King and her husband, Ryan, live in Batesville, Indiana, with their children, Nash and Hadlee.
