Toyota Material Handling associates volunteered in local Indiana communities as part of Toyota’s annual Lift the Community Day on June 29, 2026.

Columbus, IN (July 14, 2026) – Toyota Material Handling staff came together for the company’s annual Lift the Community Day on June 29, dedicating over 2,100 volunteer hours to support nonprofit organizations and community initiatives. Toyota associates annually participate in the day of service near Toyota’s Columbus, Indiana, headquarters, helping to strengthen the communities where associates live and work.

“We are so thrilled to continue our ongoing tradition of volunteering on Lift the Community Day. It is an opportunity for us to step away from our daily responsibilities and contribute to something bigger than ourselves,” said Danielle Nickerson, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Toyota Material Handling. “We’re proud to give our time and talents to causes that continue to show direct impact.”

This year, 280 Toyota associates volunteered on 40 projects with 30 local organizations across three states. Their efforts benefited education, health, human services, workforce development and other local needs. Toyota’s charitable time equaled an estimated $76,290 in donations. The company also contributed project supplies valued at $16,750.

Lift the Community Day reflects Toyota's long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibility, a cornerstone of the company's culture. Through partnerships with nonprofit organizations and volunteer initiatives, associates reinforce Toyota's core values of being faithful to their duties and creating a home-like atmosphere. Toyota associates are provided with paid community service hours throughout the year to encourage them to fulfill one of Toyota's founding principles, which is to contribute to society and help people carry the load.
