Toyota Material Handling USA, Inc.
Lea Ann King is general counsel for Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A. (TMHU). She leads a team responsible for all legal operations, including litigation, intellectual property, acquisitions, and corporate governance for TMHU and its equity dealers. She is a seasoned in-house counsel with more than a decade of in-house legal experience.
Prior to joining Toyota, Lea Ann was Vice President and Associate General Counsel with Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc., a leading global medical technology company with more than 10,000 employees worldwide. In that role, she was the chief litigation and labor and employment counsel for all U.S. operations. She began her practice of law with the firm of Bose McKinney & Evans, LLP in Indianapolis.
Lea Ann serves on the board of the Industrial Truck Association and has chaired its lawyer’s committee since 2016. In addition, she is a board member for Kids’ Discovery Factory, Margaret Mary Health Foundation, and Indiana Delegate for Drexel University’s Vision 2020. She has been named twice to the “Inside Counsel” list of “Next Generation of Women General Counsel.”
Lea Ann holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Centre College and went on to receive a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Louisville Law School where she served as an Editor of the Brandeis Law Journal. Lea Ann and her husband, Ryan, live in Batesville with their children, Nash and Hadlee.
