Cesar Jimenez is Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Product Planning, and Product Assurance for Toyota Material Handling (TMH). He and his team are responsible for Toyota’s product line throughout its life cycle, including pre-development, launch, warranty, and the ongoing resolution of any technical problems.
Jimenez began his career at Toyota as a college intern in the summer of 1996. Since then, he has held a number of positions, including market application engineer, product planning engineer, product marketing engineer, electric product planning and product marketing manager, national product planning manager. He joined the TMH executive team in May 2015.
Jimenez has been instrumental in the successful launch of more than 50 material handling products during his career, and his strong efforts have contributed towards making Toyota the number one full line material handling solutions provider in North America.
As a member of the Industrial Truck Association for over 10 years, Jimenez has served as the Vice Chair and Chair for both the Energy Storage Systems Subcommittee and the General Engineering Committee, which works on industrial truck performance oriented safety standards and supplies input to larger safety organizations.
In 1993, Jimenez was the recipient of a Toyota-funded four-year scholarship from the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, an organization that provides the Latino community with more college scholarships and support than any other in the world. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Southern California.
Jimenez resides in Columbus, Indiana with his wife Elena, and their two daughters, Giselle and Sophia.
