Speaker 1 (00:04):
This is our arena. We perform here every day in the Indiana heartland. We are the engineers and industrial artisans who, together, help people carry the load. We are the women and men of Toyota Forklift, and this is our story.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
As a Toyota associate, all of us come here each day trying to make things a little bit better. Each one of us come here with the attitude that good enough is not okay.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
I’m proud to work here at Toyota. I like being part of a team, and I like being number one in the market and being able to play a role in that.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
The culture of our company is really, bottom line, to do the right thing every time, and if we do the right thing on safety, we do the right thing on quality, we do the right thing on treating our people right, then the product’s going to be better.
Speaker 5 (01:05):
I’m very passionate about working at Toyota. There is so much opportunity for change and process improvement. You can really take ownership of your own projects. You have an idea, you have a business case for it and you move it forward, and I think everybody’s ideas that come together make Toyota such a great place to work.
Speaker 6 (01:24):
There’s a very, very strong backbone of a work ethic that is integrated from the farming communities in this area, and so one of the things I admire the most and that I respect the most around here is that shared work ethic.
Speaker 7 (01:40):
When you see orange, it gives you a sense of pride because he know that it is the number one forklift in the industry.
Speaker 8 (01:46):
Every make and model you can possibly imagine, I’ve worked on throughout the years, and Toyota’s by far a superior product. The way our mast is built, the way our truck is constructed, the way our engines are built. I see lift trucks out there in excess of $50,000, and they do a fantastic job.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
None of this happens without people. We can have all the technological advances and all that, but until the people show up to work and do the right thing every day, none of the rest of it happens.
Speaker 9 (02:17):
It’s a friendly environment to work in. It’s a family environment.
Speaker 10 (02:21):
T-REX is a state of the art health and wellness center, and this facility really helps demonstrate how much we value our associates and their families and how important they are to us as an organization.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
There’s actually a Japanese phrase, [Japanese 00:02:37], which means making things is about making people. If we involve ourselves with growing people, then what we can do is we can build great products. This product is the culmination of a lot of hard work by each of our associates, trying to make sure that every day we do things just a little bit better than we did the day before.
Speaker 5 (02:57):
Toyota is very committed working in the community, for example, United Way and local food drives. We’re also a cornerstone pertinent with FFY in the form of volunteering our time and donating money, and that is something that we take a lot of pride in and it’s just a really good feeling.
Speaker 11 (03:17):
When I see a Toyota forklift out there, it’s a sense of pride to look at that forklift and knowing that I built that and put my hands on it.
Speaker 6 (03:24):
I’m going down the interstate and my five-year-old sees the big forklift outside the building and my five-year-old’s like, “Mommy, mommy, mommy! You made that forklift,” and that makes me proud. I’m going to send my kids to college one day and I’m going to do that all because of a forklift, and there’s people all over the United States and all over the world riding around in our forklifts and making the economy move, and there is a pride in that. There is a pride in people are getting their jobs done because we are getting our job done.
